Hope Loves Company
Devotional walks in wide-open spaces with plenty of social distancing.
As we are weathering Covid-19 and are stuck with walks as our main source of entertainment, my sister Tamara and I set off to pray a blessing over some of our favorite places. We have been writing short devotional messages specific to each spot. We are praying and asking God bless these locations and make them holy.
Mark Batterson wrote: “The Israelites often built memorials in places of spiritual significance. During seasons of repentance or intense prayer, they would often return to those ancient altars to renew and remember their covenant with God. When you pray at the site of an answered prayer, it increases your faith. These places are like watchtowers that provide a unique vantage point into the spiritual realm.”
We are hoping to create permanent watchtowers in our neighborhoods.
If you have a place you love, share it with us. Tell us where it is and why that space is important to you. Leave a specific prayer behind, ask God to bless that spot then let us know where it is so we can visit. Hope loves company!
